What to know about countertop installation in Kendall

Kendall projects are permitted through Miami-Dade County, and many HOAs here require approval before exterior or driveway work starts.

Kendall housing is mostly 1970s–1990s single-family homes and townhomes, which shapes what a realistic scope and budget look like here. We factor that into the estimate instead of handing you a generic square-foot number.

Our process

  1. 1

    Measure & slab check

We measure the real run and talk through slab size, because that is what decides where seams have to land.

  2. 2

    Written itemized estimate

Material, square footage, edge profile, cutouts and sink priced separately.

  3. 3

    Template

Templated only after the cabinets are set and level. Templating early is how counters end up wrong.

  4. 4

    Fabrication & install

Cut, delivered and set, with the sink mounted and the seams polished.

  5. 5

    Finish

Faucet and disposal hooked back up, caulk lines cut clean, surface sealed if the stone needs it.

Common questions

How long between template and install?

Usually 7–14 days depending on the fabricator and the material. We tell you the date in writing so you can plan around being without a sink.

Quartz or granite?

Quartz is more consistent and needs no sealing. Granite is natural stone, so every slab is different and it wants sealing now and then. We price both side by side.

Can I keep my existing sink?

Often yes, if it is in good shape and the cutout matches. We will check it during the measure.

Will there be a visible seam?

On long runs and most islands, yes — slabs only come so big. What we control is where it lands and how tight it is, and we walk you through that before we template.
